Health and safety, when creating and changing a computer system.
Hardware:
You will need the correct tools when opening the computer and removing or adding parts in to it.
Make sure you have an appropriate place to work on the computer for example on a work bench and be aware of the systems physical set up and how to get inside it.
Tools and equipment such as, a flat head screw driver, and cross head screw driver, a hex driver, thermal paste, well lit area.
Static Electricity should always be discharged through earth-ing your self-trough a wrist band or static free mat.
The correct precautions should be taken when taking the computer apart for example unplugging all the cables from the ports before attempting to open it up.
When it is important to only change one thing at a time what it comes to the computer hardware as stripping the computer down of vital hardware could break the system.
If you are installing new hardware you must ensure the parts are the correct fitting for the system and make sure not to attempt to install anything that is not of the correct specification. Use another computer to find out what type of ports the system uses and purchase the correct equipment.
Software:
When installing software you need to create system backups or restore points.
Also be sure to get the software from a reliable source to avoid virus or malware programmes.
Also making sure the system is the correct specs for these programmes so they run correctly and well etc.
Note everything that you have done step by step with both things.
